Chloe L. Cohen, D.D.S., M.S., practices a dental philosophy by which appropriate treatment options, optimal clinical care, and educational instruction, through the discipline of periodontology are delivered. Currently, she is practicing periodontics, dental implants, and sedation surgery; serving the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles communities. She is also presently pursuing her passion for teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the division of Medically and Mentally Compromised Individuals (Special Patients Clinic) at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California (USC), and is continuously undergoing research at the University.
Dr. Cohen was raised in Beverly Hills, California where she continued on to attend the University of Southern California and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Wanting to fuse her scientific background with her artistic capabilities, she remained at the University and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Motivated and inquisitive, Dr. Cohen was determined to delve further into the cause of periodontal breakdown and treatment options available to patients. She then completed an intensive three year dual specialty program in Advanced Periodontology along with a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology enhancing her understanding of the field of periodontology. Periodontist receive an additional three years of training than a dentist.
Dr. Cohen has received much recognition for her scientific and clinical research projects and continues to publish on the most current breakthroughs in dental microbiology and cutting edge innovative surgical techniques. She is the winner of the 2013 Steven’s institute most innovative award as well as the 2013 USC School of Dentistry Research Day first place winner for her efforts and participation in advanced periodontal research. She has also been featured on the cover of the Spring 2013 edition of the TroDent magazine, discussing various laboratory and clinical research topics.
Dr. Cohen continues to lecture to general dentists and dental specialists in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles communities and is currently an active member of the California Society of Periodontists, American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Los Angeles Dental Society. This ensures that Dr. Cohen is always informed and kept current on the most innovative, conservative, and appropriate treatment procedures available.
On her free time, Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and traveling the world. She speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently and has a passion for cooking and the arts.
